Our Leadership Rod Zeeb is the founder and CEO of the Family Stewardship Center. He is also co-founder and CEO of The Heritage Institute, and co-developer of The Heritage Process.  The Heritage Institute provides training in the discipline of Heritage Design, and professional certification in The Heritage Process.    The Institute also conducts and distributes original research, offers mentoring, coaching and marketing support for professional advisors who wish to provide heritage design services to their constituents, and provides consulting services directly to individuals and families.

Rod speaks nationally on issues related to Family Stewardship and The Heritage Process, is the author of the book Family Stewardship, co-author of the book, Beating the Midas Curse, and co-author of the novel, What Matters.  Rod graduated Summa Cum Laude from Willamette College of Law in 1986, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Willamette Law Review. 

Rod has over two decades of experience in estate planning, charitable planning, and heritage design and is recognized internationally for his contributions to the field. He provides his time and expertise to many church, charitable, and community organizations, and enjoys travel, golf, and other activities with his children, Christina and Ryan, and his grandchildren, Alexa, JD and Tyson.


With a style similar to your most trusted friend and confidant, Lori Coonen has been working together with families for over 20 years, with a mission to keep their family strong by: 

· creating a culture of communication and trust within the family; · training families how to approach difficult conversations with trust and respect;  · facilitating multi-generational family meetings;  · focusing on enhancing leadership;  · identifying common family values and purpose, and,  · establishing systematic intentional traditions for successful family transitions. 

Lori’s speaking engagements include local and national events including International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy, Women & Investing Workshop, Thrivent, Trust Company of Virginia, First Global WIN, FPA Northeast Wisconsin, Fox Valley and Green Bay Estate Planning Councils, Keller Williams Real Estate Group and Fox Valley Senior Resource Network. 

In addition to her training and speaking, Lori is also the co-author of the book, unPrepared: Heirs at Risk


Ryan Zeeb has consulted with families, individuals and professionals around the world for over fifteen years. He has experience in wealth transfer, risk management, financial and estate planning, heir preparation and investment management.  His previous clients include entrepreneurs, family businesses, professional athletes, beneficiaries and executives.  As an advisor, Ryan has enjoyed the opportunity to serve clients from the millionaire next door, to multi-billionaires. 

He also speaks and consults on the topics of Heritage Planning, Building Professional Collaborative Teams, Practice Development, Business Growth and Exit Strategies.

As President of The Heritage Institute for nine years, Ryan helped to position them as the leader in the wealth consulting and wealth transfer industry, and he led the development of the Heritage Design professional designation. He has trained and consulted with over 400 top wealth professionals from around the world.  In this effort, Ryan built strategic relationships with some of the top institutions in banking, asset management, estate planning, financial planning, executive coaching, non-profit, and marriage and family counseling.

 Ryan graduated with his B.A. in Business Administration from Taylor University where he played baseball and later served as an Assistant Baseball Coach.  He enjoys spending time with his three children, outdoor activities, and is active in his local church.
